Searching for Data

Search for curves for a given area or well IDs that you then refine and review to decide which curves to retrieve.

LOGarc offers two modes for searching LAS data:

Full Search - which retrieves all of the wells, and list of curves, logs, and well files that meet your search criteria up-front when running the search.

Quick Search - which retrieves only the well IDs that meet your search criteria up front. Lists of other items such as curves, logs, and well files are not downloaded until you expand the node () to the left of each well in the results grid.

When you perform a search, the search mode is displayed at the top of the LOGarc screen. The criteria for the search depends on the region: USA, Canada, or International. Wildcard characters are not supported when searching for Canadian or International well IDs.

Switch between Quick and Full Search using the Tools () menu.
